But I am currently making her wait so that I can use the Internet in my favorite coffee joint to:

1. catch up on my favorite blogs (Gizmodo, Lifehacker, kung fu grippe, and so on in this manner),
2. get the latest podcasts for each of my subscriptions, and
3. write this post mocking her.

Working in a coffee shop or other such establishments

When working in a public space, like a coffee shop, your biggest asset is a friend.

It’s not about companionship or having someone else doing work so that it motivates you into work. It’s about having someone watch your expensive belongings so you can go pee.
